dontkissme project

A transformist puppet show. Are we born with a permanent identity? Yet, does the self have a defined gender? How we construct ourselves? Do we decide who we are? This project was inspired by a crucial event in the life of the French surrealist photographer Claude Cahun who at the age of 16 shaved her hair and considered the gender as a mask that one could take in and off, and many other things.

This project opened in the Visible Festival in Madrid and went to the Reencontres (Marseille) and Szeged (Hungary) festivals in the summer of 2008.
